Afaik there's no game that's particularly like Guild Wars, on any platform. It is, indeed, highly unique. A pity, too, since I'd love to see more games made using the skill system and game mechanics of Guild Wars, just like I'd love to see more games made from DoW1's engine.
Doesn't happen, sadly. Instead we just get WoW clones and Starcraft clones. Nothing but shit.

So you have played Guild Wars on this computer before?
Have you tried a reinstall? Windows have a tendency to get slower and slower, and a reinstall can make your computer suddenly seem like a whole new computer. I know some people who was even ready to buy a new computer because their computer was so slow and old, until someone helped them reinstall bringing the beast to life again

This.
If money is the issue, keep in mind that it's that time of year where alot of stores have deals on PCs and/or parts to upgrade them. It might not be a bad idea to look around see if there's anything that fits into your budget.
If any of your friends or relatives get a new PC for christmas, you may want to see what they plan to do with their old one.

It doesn't have Zelda Twilight princess, which is odd, since it was one of the first games to wii. It's a good game too.

Some sites put the Zelda games in the adventure catagory... this is one of them.
The Zelda games aren't anything like GW, but I'd still reccomend trying them if you haven't already.

Another great game with minimal PC requirements is Fallout 2. Fallout 2 still has a very active fan site, as does older versions of Baldur's Gate.
If you google "good old games" you will find a site that sells Fallout 2 and other previous generation games as digital downloads for very little. Like right now Fallout 2 is $3.89, all ready for Windows XP or Vista.
And, of course, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. Not at all like GW at first glance, but GW did derive some of its inspiration from D2. D2 has a lot of very active fans.
Let us know how the computer OS reload goes.

I assume it was able to play it at some point.
I've spent the past few years troubleshooting friends PC's, and alot of people tend to clusterf*** computers over a year or two of ownership to the point where they can barely function.
If it was able to play GW at any point, it probably still can. Reformat your hard drive, and completely reinstall windows. If you have a system recovery disk that came with your computer, use that, even better.
If you don't know how to do any of that, pay someone who can. Shouldn't cost more than $100.

With a ps3 you can also get Demon's Souls, which is a fun but challenging rpg.
P.S. With fallout 3 (I own it on the ps3) expect the game to freeze up constantly

You will never find a game that's like Guild Wars. If you want to play Guild Wars so badly, fix your PC/get a new one. Until then, you won't be playing anything too similar.

I`ll puke, i swear.. How can anyone promote this rubbish? The only fun part of the game is the beginning in the primordial soup. Everything else sucks so hard, that it is unbelievable.

Seeing as you do have a PC, and might be able to run a lower spec game:
Dungeon Seige 1 is pretty good fun, similar style to GW.
